21.svg
21.svg is more than just a thesis show. It's a state of mind. It's the concept that represents the 4 of us as a group, each of us as individuals, and demonstrates how we collaborate. It highlights the uniqueness in our individual interests and skillsets.
More simply, 21.svg is the Tyler School of Art + Architecture's Graphic + Interactive Design's MFA graduate thesis show. It is a website show, a social media show, and so much more.
Outside of working on the branding (which was done by everyone), my main jobs in the 21.svg team was website (design and production) and case study/presentation (imagery and writing). I also worked on some smaller parts of the social media campaign.

Name + Branding
The story of the 21.svg name is pretty in-depth. The short of it is that it originated from the rapper 21 Savage when we were joking around since we were the graduating class of '21. Without vowels, Savage turns to SVG which also happens to be a web only file type (which thematically worked well with our all online show).
As for the look, all we knew was that we wanted it to look different (unprecedented, if you will). Bright, fun, silly, good-looking.
Variability
If we were highlighting our differences and strengths that were unique to each of us, it was only fitting to make a set of logos for each of us using our favorites (shape, symbol, emoji, colors).
What is 21.svg?
A website, a social media campaign, and a couple of "deep dive" writing features (STELLA Online and Medium - the latter primarily written by yours truly).
We really wanted to take advantage of all the online resources that were available to us and this combination of deliverables made the most sense considering the COVID times.
"Variety Show"
We were under a lot of stress and wanted to make this show fun, light-hearted, and true to ourselves by featuring some silliness in our social media campaign.

Website
The website was meant to be "project forward" as a replacement for an in-person show. The gallery page would feature work while the squad and profiles would provide a more in-depth look at us as people!
